Discussed preparations for call with CCP and preliminary proposal Discussed status of Boston Main Streets as potential pilot. Agreed that it is a good fit for Interra's services. Are waiting for the results of the next Connect US meeting. Discussed business model. All the proposed projects we are discussing are examples of the augmented social network. An analogy was made to planting a garden with three different types of plants. Each plant gets neutrients from different sources. In some gardens it makes sense to plant one plant first, in another location if might make more sense to plant another type of plant first. So maybe we are not looking for one pilot, but for several. Additional preliminary work is proceeding with the Gates foundation to better understand the potential opportunity . There may be a possiblity of a local effort with the Russell Foundation. We also discussed the sales process. For example, we need longer boiler plate descriptions. A new contributiors-long section has been added to the CIC wiki to hold long (1-2 paragraph) descriptions of the contributing organizations. These will likely be tweaked for specific proposals.
