April 1, 2005: 10-11AM PST - Attendees:Paul T., Mary R., Fen L., Owen D., Ken J, Jon R. and Bill A..
- Proposed Agenda
- Review open items
- Discuss progress on Architecture work
- I-Broker component-level description
- Should a few of us flesh out CIC Glossary?
- Commitment to module specific plans (timeline and budget)
- We reviewed the open action items. It was agreed that we need to document the organizations that are involved in this initiative, how they fit together and what they offer the CIC. About 1-2 paragraphs per organization was targeted. Jon will start the process and Paul will follow-up to ensure we get input from all organizations. These descriptions will be included in proposals. Jon updated the action item list.
- We reviewed the CIC architecture diagram and made two iterations on it during the call. Everyone is very please with how far the diagram has evolved in the last few weeks. The practice of updating the diagram during the call really helps to speed the process.Paul talked briefly about the progress on the pilot/funding front that was discussed in this week's very successful launch call.
Next we discussed how we get to a component-level description of the I-broker. Fen will make an updated document available for comments. - We agreed that the progress on the CIC architecture diagram will make creating a CIC Glossary easier. A page with three columns will be created to log SP terms and Dataweb terms and "harmonize" terms where necessary.
It was agreed that all of our efforts are in support of the last agenda item. - Paul talked about the progress we were making on potential pilots/funding and how wonderful the launch call was this week.
- We agreed to relex some of the rules about how this meeting is organized. It is no longer necessary to second agenda items. It is ok to add important new agenda items at the last minute. The new dev call protocal has been updated CIC Dev Procedures.
Jon brought a new participant, Bill, to the call and Bill introduced himself and his organizations.
