RP I-Card Issuance for RSS-P protocol

This feature introduces an"i-card issuing" ceremony (user interaction), and this is how active i-cards will usually be acquired by the user. We want the user to perceive the RP site as offering some new i-card to the user.

Higgins User experience

A user that has the Higgins extension installed points their browser at the home page of an RP website (E.g. Best Buy, etc.). They notice a small image of an i-card on the page of the RP site. The i-card has some text next to it explaining "Click here to get your <some text> i-card...etc." The entire i-card image is a button/link that lights up when you hover over it. If the user clicks on it:

a new tab is opened in their browser that points to broker.parityinc.net (lsimilar to what happens when the user clicks on the HBX toolbar/button). The user notices that a new i-card (that looks exactly like the one they saw on the RP site home page) has been added to the broker under the "active" category. And the "My Profile" tab has automatically been selected, and the "Edit" button has automatically been clicked. That is, they can edit their profile information into the new i-card right away.

Non-Higgins User experience

A user of Firefox 1.5 that does not have the Higgins extension installed points their browser at the home page of an RP website (E.g. Best Buy, etc.). They notice a small image of an i-card on the page of the RP site. The i-card has some text next to it explaining "Click here to get your Power Customer i-card...etc." The entire i-card image is a button/link that lights up when you hover over it. If the user clicks on it:

The system starts downloading/installing the Higgins extension. And after they restart their browser, it acts as described in the indented paragraph above.

Implementation notes

The Higgins extension needs to recognize some kind of special HTML construct. This construct needs to include the schema as well as the JPEG image of the newly issued i-card.

Sample HTML and wiki doc

After we design and implement this feature, we need to create a sample test HTML page as well as create a wiki page in the HBX pages of the Higgins wiki describing it such that a developer of an RP site can understand what they need to do.
