RP I-Card Issuance for RSS-P protocolThis feature introduces an"i-card issuing" ceremony (user interaction), and this is how active i-cards will usually be acquired by the user. We want the user to perceive the RP site as offering some new i-card to the user. Higgins User experienceA user that has the Higgins extension installed points their browser at the home page of an RP website (E.g. Best Buy, etc.). They notice a small image of an i-card on the page of the RP site. The i-card has some text next to it explaining "Click here to get your <some text> i-card...etc." The entire i-card image is a button/link that lights up when you hover over it. If the user clicks on it:
Non-Higgins User experienceA user of Firefox 1.5 that does not have the Higgins extension installed points their browser at the home page of an RP website (E.g. Best Buy, etc.). They notice a small image of an i-card on the page of the RP site. The i-card has some text next to it explaining "Click here to get your Power Customer i-card...etc." The entire i-card image is a button/link that lights up when you hover over it. If the user clicks on it:
Implementation notesThe Higgins extension needs to recognize some kind of special HTML construct. This construct needs to include the schema as well as the JPEG image of the newly issued i-card. Sample HTML and wiki docAfter we design and implement this feature, we need to create a sample test HTML page as well as create a wiki page in the HBX pages of the Higgins wiki describing it such that a developer of an RP site can understand what they need to do.
